The Renaissance Man
Dr. David Abramov, doctor of chiropractic.
Born and raised in New York City, I initially set out toward traditional medicine. I spent time in outpatient clinics, surgical centers, and hospital settings, deliberately exposing myself to different sides of healthcare before deciding where I wanted to devote my life. I respected the medicine I encountered, but I found myself searching for something that felt more aligned with how I understood health. I was drawn toward a more restorative, preventative approach, one that gave greater attention to the person behind the condition. That search became personal after my family experienced a serious car accident. We had grown up with a more holistic perspective on health, with an emphasis on prevention, natural remedies, and caring for the body as a whole, but knew little about chiropractic. Through my family's experience, I was introduced to a chiropractor whose approach made a lasting impression on me. Over time, what began as curiosity became an appreciation for the depth of the profession and its possibilities. That experience ultimately led me to Palmer College of Chiropractic.

My education has always extended beyond chiropractic alone. With a background in psychology, biochemistry, and neurology, I developed a strong foundation in understanding the human body from both scientific and behavioral perspectives. At the same time, my interests in philosophy, history, art, architecture, and the natural world have shaped how I think about people and the lives they lead. I believe the best understanding of health comes from allowing these perspectives to inform one another. My own evolution as a doctor has also changed the way I view the body. The more I have learned, the less I see health as a fixed state and the more I appreciate the remarkable possibilities of human adaptation, movement, and longevity.
Outside the practice, I'm happiest exploring, whether that means being outdoors, traveling, reading, experiencing art and architecture, enjoying great music, or learning something completely unfamiliar. Swimming has been part of my life since childhood. It's where I first learned that ability isn't given, it's built through repetition, discipline, and showing up on the days it would be easier not to. That's stayed with me, in the water and in the way I work. I was raised to value family, curiosity, integrity, and the responsibility to be a good person before being anything else. Those values shape how I show up for a patient just as much as my clinical education does. Today, I live and practice in South Florida, where The Renaissance Health Collective exists for exactly one reason: so none of it, the science, the art, the movement, the person actually sitting in front of me, ever has to be left at the door. All of it matters. Every time.
